A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams." It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at young women. The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues." A Prolific Publishing History Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues. His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008. Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films. He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
